A generous large/XL, but please go by the measurements:
Bust, 46"
Shoulders, up to about 17.5"; sleeves, about 27" (longer than standard)
Length, 49"
For reference, my mannequin (with arms) is a tall size 4 wearing this amazing coat.
~CONDITION~
Fur: Excellent vintage. Plush, gorgeous fur without wear or issues, beyond minor guard-hair wear/dryness hidden in the immense fluffiness of the cuff ends.
Lining: Good to very good vintage. Lovely, fresh, glossy satin with an area of staining toward the bottom hem as well as snagging along the bottom 8" or so, as well as some scattered further up, see close-up photos--my guess is the coat was worn with a sequined/beaded dress that caught on the lining. Price takes this into account. I can ship the coat with some floral patches that could cover the stains :) or another option is to have a tailor, furrier, or dressmaker cover the lower area with lace or brocade for a decorative custom look. Also note that this coat has two hooks down to waist level but no additional hooks/eyes, which is a little unusual, as often there's one in the skirt area. It would be a straightforward job for a furrier (or a tailor familiar with fur) to add one or more wherever you like.
Overall: A breathtaking coat with a few signs of wear, ready to be adored for decades more!
